Fishing at Mento Brown Park
Turns out that Tatum is really good at casting!
After a week in Pendleton, Greg was kind and generous to have us at his house for another week. (Mt Hood taken thru the car window while driving by toward Portland)
The girls got to play dress up and model with Taylor
First stop Pendleton
On July 16, the girls and I flew up to Pendleton and stayed with my mom for a week. Scott stayed behind for the packing of the moving truck then drove up with Jack in the van.
It was a great visit! Saw my brothers Warren and Tim, my aunts Mary Jane and Margaret and the nieces and a nephew. The girls go to go swimming with Tia and Brianna (cousins) and Scott adn I even got to get out for a fun BBQ. AND we finally got to see the house my mom bought and will be moving in near the end of August. It turned out to be more of a summer vacation week than a wait for the house to close.
Of course, when Jack showed up and stayed my mom's cat Gracie disappeared. Jillian posted these signs
Good-bye Katy Texas
Time to move back to Oregon. We will really miss all of our Texas friends, but hopefully we can keep in touch.

Jillian's last day of school
Her school was Child's Play Learning Center connected to the Catholic church. Her class was called the Busy Bees. It was an awsome school, she loved going every single day. Good-bye preschool, hello kindergarten!
They had the kids make the best artwork and learn about famous artists.

Jillian is a chip
Again with the chip thing. This afternoon she and I were sitting outside and I heard a morning dove. I said, "Jillian do you want to see if you can get that morning dove to respond to you?" Jillian takes great pride in her morning dove imitation. She said, "Oh ya ya ya...I'm gonna be a chip." then started to take her imitation prep breath. Catching the chip thing I asked, "What did you say?" She said, "I'm going to be a chip at this....I'm giong to be a champion chip.........oh-hoooo-hoo-hooooooo."
What are you a chip at doing?
This morning the girls were talking about how good Spounge Bob is at blowing bubbles into different shapes. "Ya," Jillian said, "He's a chip.....he's a champion chip."

Jillian has big news! Heaven exists right here on Earth - Katy Texas to be exact. We had her party at The Storybook Cottage where she and her friends got to dress up, get manicures, put on a fashion show then have tea and lunch followed by a storybook then cake.
The reading restaurant
Tatum's class made a reading restaurant for a night. Each child wrote their own main courses, picked out the rest of the menu (A poem as appetizers, short story for side dish etc.) and served the whole meal to their guests.. They made the classroom look like a restaurant with jellybean and bouquet centerpieces. The bouquets were their hands traced on paper then cut out and glued to sticks - cute! It was really a lot of fun.
"Elementary Reading License."
Here's the chef with her license.
Serving up some good stories for Jillian.

Jillian's birthday at school
On Wednesday, the last day of school for the week, Jillian was "The Birthday Leader" where she got to wear this crown and be the main helper for the day. At snacktime they had a big treat! doughnuts! As you can see she felt pretty great about it all.

The bangs are back
After all this time believing the only way she ever wanted her hair is to have no bangs the other day she changed her mind. Tatum's bangs are back.
